June has been a FAB-ulous month! Now, I'm back from the beach, sporting a hard-earned tan and back to work! No better way to start things off than with a sweet-as-can-be newborn!! 

And big brother...how he has grown!! Him, Just over a year ago!!

Times they are a changin

Well, many of you may or may not already know, but we have closed our studio location in downtown Collinsville. We are NOT closing Fizzy though!! I repeat, we are NOT closing Fizzy... We will be shooting location as we did before we opened the space, back to our roots so to speak. If the right studio space comes along in Tulsa, we may consider opening another space...only time will tell but rest assured, we'll keep you posted. 

It's a sad thing for me to leave behind the space we had in Collinsville but at the same time, I know that it's only because greater things lie ahead for Fizzy. So, in honor of our downsizing, we're offering a fabulous summer deal. We can do this because, well, it's our business and with the decrease in overhead, we want to pass on some of that savings to you. So, for the months of June and July, all session fee's will be waived. Did you get that? No session fee for sessions booked for the months of June and July. That's a $100 savings for you and anyone else you want to let in on the little secret!

Newborn Casting Call

Just a quick note- We are looking for a couple of mama's-to-be who would like to receive a free newborn session for their babies. We have some great new props and ideas that we're excited to put into action. If you are expecting within the next month, or know someone who is, contact us! We'd love to meet you and your new baby!

In exchange for your time and signed model release, not only will you receive a free newborn session, we'll also be rewarding you with a 30% discount on any regular prints you order (books and custom designed products are excluded from discount).

Best of 2008!

So, it's the time of year when we like to look back at the last year and remember where we've been and who we've seen. And in that tradition, we're running a Best of 2008 contest! Selecting the images to use in this contest was a tedious task because there are so many images we love and so many faces that are just irresistible. So through a very scientific process of elimination (ok, so we wrote down image numbers and drew them out of a very pretty bucket ;), we've narrowed it down to our favorite 15 images. 

The contest starts, well, now, and ends Saturday, March 21st at midnight. Now, here's how it works...if you are one of the featured entries, you vote; then, you copy and paste our url into an email and blast every person you've every met in your life with a nicely worded solicitation, asking them to take a few seconds and vote for your image. If your not in the contest and don't have a clue who is, thats ok! You can still vote. Anyone can vote, but vote ONLY ONCE!!!! Please, we're relying on fairness here!

Ok, so  you've voted, you've dug deep in your contacts (facebook, twitter, myspace, email...), solicited as many votes as possible- now what? It's great, trust us...

The first place winner will receive a 16x20 inch print of their featured image, plus a complimentary session, AND a gift certificate for a complimentary session to give to someone who will think your completely awesome for doing so.

The remaining top 4 entries will each receive a complimentary studio session.

Book your senior session by April 15th to be held in the month of May or June and were going give you your session for free! Thats right, every penny of your session fee will be applied towards your order...how cool is that? We think it's pretty awesome!

Truly, I love my job no matter who or what I'm shooting, but when a session goes as effortlessly as this one did, well, lets just say, it doesn't get much better! It was a pleasure meeting both her and her mama and I hope she loves them :)

So you go to bed Friday evening thinking "hmmm, I really do need to get a new portrait done of little Katie. If only there was a convenient, yet artistic photography studio available..."  Well, mom, we've got your answer! 

Starting Saturday, March 7th, Fizzy Art will be accepting walk in clients from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. We'll be offering mini-sessions (these last about 30 minutes) inside or out around the studio, depending on the weather. The session fee is $25 for up to three people (each additional person- $15). The session will be a simpler version of what a typical full session entails with one set and one outfit per session. After the session, we will provide you with about 10 proofs in an online gallery within a week of your session. 

Since we will only be offering these sessions for four hours per Saturday, we recommend stopping in or calling first thing Saturday morning to reserve your spot for the day. Your also welcome to book in advance. Just call (918)384-9849 or email: info@fizzyartphotography.com

Now, go buy the kids some fun, funky new outfits and pencil yourself in for a Fizzy Art mini-session this Saturday! We can't wait to see you :)
